My rambling
Ever since I concocted the question in Dr. Johan's class my mind has never been able to ease. I am like a hibernating computer at all time ( meaning that my hard drives don't seem to actually rest...I now wonder if I have used the techno metaphor correctly). I bring the Research Methodology textbook almost everywhere and read it whenever I get the chance, hoping that my mind has what it takes to process my RQ. Plus before I dive into the Literature Reviews that I have piled I at least want to have the necessary input. One thing for sure I am not heeding the chapter on Literature Review. I don't seem to discriminate and I just pile them slowly and surely. I have a feeling that this bad habit of mine is going to find its way to bite me SOON!!
MUST read compiled Literature Reviews!! Must! MuSt!! mUsT!!!
computer going haywire!
Yikes! Signing off.

What a week!!!
Yesterday (8/3/14) marked the last day of class for EDU 702 and we ended the class very tired with loads of work on our shoulder. Never have I experienced such a class where we had to cover a semester worth of lesson in a week! But we did it! By the time we reached day 5, we were flat tired.
I am surprised by the vast amount of information that I had forced to enter my head. I call it information and not knowledge because for it to be my knowledge I have to apply it first. (And plus after sitting for the test that Dr. Teoh gave us I certainly cannot call what I know so little my knowledge). But I bet soon when I start doing the Literature Review and planning my research, I can readily call the info I gorged my knowledge.
I am actually still a bit overwhelmed by everything that had happened (need I say that it happened so fast?) Dr. Johan and Dr. Teoh had given us a lot that is too much to process but it is exciting nonetheless. (P/S: I almost wanted to write a little note in my answer booklet to Dr. Teoh. If I had written the note it would read: Dear Dr. Teoh, this is not a valid way to test my knowledge.)BUt the test was indeed a good way to force us to read up because in a way we needed the push.
Well anyway today I attended a briefing by the Post Graduate Department.It was a very hot smoky Saturday (due to some forest and peat-soil fire that I saw as I was driving to Intec)and I was really hoping that I didn't have to attend. But knowing that many of my Master buddies could not make it I knew that the KMB teachers had to step up and represent the Master TESL Cohort 2. I went despite the tired body and heavy heart. But quite frankly after attending the briefing, I am glad I went. It is good to get to know your school and the people running the Post Graduate Department in the Faculty of Education.
Here is a bit about the briefing that I attended:
AM = Amaran
GT = Gugur Taraf
P/S; you should not get AM twice in your result slip because they will say bye bye to you and show you the exit door.
YOu get GT if you don't pay your fees
D3 CGPA less than 3.0 with a probation warning twice
D4 Fail a course for the third time. the end.

Here is a bit about the briefing that I attended:
- The Head of Post Graduate Department is Dr. Izaham Shah Ismail (5522 7084/7397)
- The Coordinator of ED770 is Dr. Marina Mohamad Arif
- We are Faculty of Education students whose campus is at Intec (We are not Intec students!! That is an erroneous statement all together!!)
- There is a lounge for Post Graduate students at Room u117 where you can read thesis and dissertation or works of previous students. If you see "*" then the paper is graded A minus and above otherwise you will see papers mark B.
- We will be assigned a supervisor in sem 2
- We are expected to finish by the 4th semester.
- Be mindful of this coding:
AM = Amaran
GT = Gugur Taraf
P/S; you should not get AM twice in your result slip because they will say bye bye to you and show you the exit door.
YOu get GT if you don't pay your fees
- Please read ACADEMIC REGULATION PROCESS AND PROCEDURE at ilearn under library.
- Please validate your course by 8th April, 2014
- As a post graduate you are only allowed special leave twice in your life time as a student. Use this life line wisely.
- Read COURSEWORK FOR MASTER DEGREE at ilearn.
- You will be terminated from the faculty if you receive :
D3 CGPA less than 3.0 with a probation warning twice
D4 Fail a course for the third time. the end.
